Symbology
The theme that was given to the room is expressed in its title, because it desires to express a city (Naples) full of living people (Viva), who are always on the move, and who work every day animated by the enthusiasm, joy and positivity that distinguishes them from the whole world.
The location of the room, which overlooks a street that is always crowded with people walking, is the perfect representation of this underlying theme.
It is enough to imagine the stream of people walking in quick steps through the Neapolitan alleys or the Neapolitans talking loudly over the balconies and the housewives who hang out heaps and heaps of linen every day.
All this gives an idea of what Naples is: Viva.
CHARACTERISTICS
The room is developed on two levels for a total area of 35 square meters, the largest room in the entire structure.
Upon entering, one is attracted by the flamboyant “expressionist” painting by the well-known Neapolitan painter Francesco Caliendo, (part of the owners’ private collection) with its bright, bluish colours, which represents a man running, as if he were “having a motorbike” (this is the title) that once again evokes the character of the Neapolitans, always on the move and always on the run, the dominant theme of vitality expressed by movement (NapoliViva).
On the opposite wall of the painting, there is a maxi wallpaper depicting the island of Procida with its thousand colours testifying to the vitality of the Neapolitans, which is also expressed very colourfully.
On the upper floor of the suite NapoliViva in front of the bed is once again displayed in the centre of the wall a painting by the famous Neapolitan artist Francesco Caliendo depicting The Tree of Life (part of the owners’ private collection).
This room has the best view of the structure, over the main street of the historical centre, from a large and comfortable balcony. The bathroom is wrapped in the blue of the sea like a seabed, with a cone-shaped sink covered with a mirror mosaic. The room contains every comfort: thermostatic radiators, top of the range air conditioners by GENERAL, “Grohe” thermostatic mixer tap in the shower and a 32″ “Samsung” flat screen TV.
